Anybody out there know how to read the code on interstate batteries to tell when they were made?
I used to know but seem to be messing it up for some reason.
Thanks
That'd be the way. Our brand uses alpha-numerics as well. Letter code corresponds to month, number means year. A5=January 2005. J6=October 2006 etc... Round sticker somewhere on the case.
Thanks guys, that's what I thought but the other day I was cleaning under the hood and looked at mine and it said B2 and I thought no way but looking back I guess it could be. I just never had a battery last that long but I think I will go get a new one instead of seeing just how lond it will last.
Look up section 7, and then 7.6 Battery freshness. The Dots you pop out are for warrenty dating, the branded alpha numeric code is the date code for when the battery was made.
