Hey Guys: I pulled into Gutherburg, Nebraska KOA. Everything fine except radio had quit. Checking fuses and got radio to working, and have lost all throttle except Idle. I have a code, but I left it at the trailer. It indicated throttle sensor or something. I have a 2003 7.3 , stock except for an old edge program. I know that I have seen this on here before and am searching more as soon as I post this. Please help. Jim

Is your instrument cluster working? If not, it could be the OD wire shorted out...that would be a less expensive item to fix. Have you checked your fuses?
Fuses all check good. No dash lights at all. No gauges either. Internal OD wires were broken a couple of years ago, and soldered back together.
Greg may be on to something. Thanks Jim
Well Pop you hit it. In my tired hast, old age, half blind, stupidity, I pulled a fuse while trying to fix the radio. Put it back in the wrong whole. This just happened to be the fuse on the bottom row, around # 40,41, or something.
Jason, a really nice guy at Pony Express Chevrolet in Gothenburg, Ne. found it for me and at a very fair charge. A really super nice young man. He called a Ford Dealer and talked to someone and then started checking. Thanks Guy's for all your help. I really appreciate it. Jim
You won't have overdrive lock-out, and the light won't flash if you are having a trans problem, but you CAN move!
When you fix this problem, you probably should consider just replacing the entire shifter lever with all the internal wiring, etc. It's not that crazy-expensive to just do the whole thing.

I think what Jim is saying is that he pulled the fuse for the OD-TPS-Instrument circuit and put it back in the wrong socket. He might not have actually blown a fuse...just didn't put it back in the correct spot. (at least that is what I got out of his post....)
Greg is correct. I am sorry for not making myself clearer. I pulled the fuse for the dash instruments, and the TPC and put it back in the wrong hole. I checked every fuse in the panel, and not once did it occur to me, what I had done.
But some of you may understand how hard it is to look up at something under the dash with Bifocals. But I want to again thank you guys for all your help. Jim
