Mobil Delvac 1300 15w40 just changed it. plus when if i rev it up high enough and immedietly let off the pedal after it loses oil pressure it dies. while i have oil pressure if i do this the rpms will drop to 400 or 500 and then come back up to 700 to 750. I just changed the injector pump because it needed a new one. would that have anything to do with this.

if the oil is convetol oil mine dose the same thing 1 pound of oil pruesher is = about 100 rpms

What do you mean by non-existent?
What kind of manual gauge are you connecting to it, what are the units on it (both the maximum and the divisional markers), and how accurate is it? You may still have 5-10-15psi at idle with hot oil but the gauge may not be showing it.
(stupid question being that its a diesel and you probably can't hear any, but) Does your engine make any abnormal noises when the oil pressure drops (indicating bearing issues)?
If you really don't have any oil pressure, something is seriously wrong. Excessively worn bearings can also cause low oil pressure besides the pump, which rarely fails. Now the pickup screen on the pump could be clogged up with gunk too, that would also cause low oil pressure.
