oil pump

I was just wondering if the oil pump gauge is reliable of if it can mess up and miss read wrong if its cold or something

It is reliable as long as the oil pressure switch located above your oil filter is working if not it wont read anything

it only moves if pressure drops below 7 psi.

get a mechanical gauge and check real oil pressure.
