Well truck rolled 220,000 miles yesterday and died. Took it to the dealership and they said ICP was bad got a new one a long with all new fluid and filters. Changed all the fluid and ICP, started the truck she idled smooth then started blowing white smoke. Took it for a test drive truck died 2 miles from home towed back, ran it for codes showed nothing could it be the ipr?
I put a new IPR & ICP and checked the FICM and it checked out good. The Truck runs good but I am not having a hot start issue. Truck wont start after it gets up to running temp. I drove 38 miles today to work and when I got there and killed it it would not restart till it had cooled off. Any Ideas?
did you ever get this fixed? I have an 06 f350 and im having a hot start problem as well. 6.0L D. Im getting a p2290 code, or Injector control pressure too low
after some research last night I found out what it stands for and where it's located and symptoms when it fails. I must say..I have all the symptoms.
Truck stalls for no reason..
Truck wont start when warm..
Oil pressure IS good.
Looks like Wed/Thur I'll be stretched across the motor with the help of 2- 2x8x10's stretched thru two ladders.
Being an 05 the truth of the matter is you need to do STC fitting, standpipes, and dummey plugs
and then you can beshure you wont have this issue again all tend to fail and have the same symtoms 05+ got a great HPOP but the rest has some issues
you can probably save your money on the IPR
a bad IPR will have issues hot&cold
If yu have a moving blanket works great to lay on top te moter
