Are the shoes good? If so, spray a butload of PB Blaster or Kroil inside the back of the brake hub (bottom) and let the star adjusters soak...then use a brake tool and adjust the shoes out as you spin each wheel (jack)...you want the shoes dragging a little, then back them in slightly. If that doesn't help your pedal, you need to ditch the old brake fluid, refill the master and bleed the brakes...lube the bleed fittings at each wheel, too. If you need new shoes, have fun...drum brakes are a gas.

Ok I thought I would change the oil this weekend on this 69 and I think I remember an old Ford commercial that said "Ford has a better idea?". I guess that person never saw the location of the oil pan drain plug, WTF? Who engineered this piece of work, the middle of the cross member, really.

Yeah, they could have engineered that better. On my 360, you have to get to it from the front of the engine...that gives you enough room to get a wrench on the plug and get some leverage...but then the oil still drains all over the place, use a wide catch pan and lots of rags.
