Hi Blade, they are all fine. Btw this is the guy who was stuck in MD a while back, in Indian Head. Thats when i installed the ficm but the problem then was the ipr valve. Thanks for the quick response. Oh and still need to buy a scan guage so if you know anyone in the St Louis area that has one that'd be sweet, otherwise I will have to put one on credit lol. Thanks again.
Well the batteries and alternator I checked with my digital volt meter and the ficm was bought from Ed at ficmrepair.com so I don't think its bad already. Heck the old one worked fine but it was a volt or two below spec so it was replaced. Frank

But a Dead cell in a battery wont always be Caught just by a Voltage test with a DVM
I had a Bad Cell in battery a month ago using a DVM Voltage looked OK but hydro test of each Battery Cell FAILED
If the Dash Light for Battery isnt coming on other than at Startup then ALternator is Likely Good. That light will catch a Bad Alternator BETTER than a Bad Battery
I Also took the FICM as being Good but still worth a Check
For the sake of moving on you can do a injector Bubble tst and Ohm the injector Coils out there are 2 col per inject so make shure you check the right wires
Morning fellas, thanks for the help. Yea its a bit overdue for an oil change, tried delvac last oil change. Was curious to about running that stuff through the engine to clean it. It was mentioned to me by the mechanic but have been told by others its hard on the rings. What's your opinions and what products would you recommend as this is my first diesel I'm still learning and will be a while lol. Frank
IMO a 5W40 is best, but people have had good oil analysis results from 10W30 - I just wouldn't tow in hot climates with it. I wouldn't go over 5k miles between oil changes, and be sure to use OEM (Motorcraft, Racor, or International) oil filters.
