How do you set the timing
I have a 1988 f-250 with a 460. I have been told I have to disconnect the spout to set the timing. I am not a mechanic and my chilton's does not show the spout. Can anyone help?

yes the spout connecter has to be disconnected to set base time its in one of two locations driverside fender near your relays or at the tfi harness into the distributor. im not exatly sure what the base time should be on a 460 if i remember rite it is 10 degrees on a 302 sorry i wasnt much help
