so hpfp, all 8 injectors, all fuel lines can only be installed once? they cant be reused once tightened? what about the fuel cooler, low pressure pump, HFCM, both fuel filters and bases, what about all the glitter in the fuel that returned to the tank. i dont really understand their PCM update either...it was changed to shut the engine down immediatly so future damage wouldnt be caused, but when your going 50 down the road and have a stick shift the engine still is turning pumping all the fuel around until you come to a stop.
I'm not sure about the other parts, but when they did mine, fuel tank was cleaned too, I'm not a mechanic, But I watched very closely when they did my repairs...Also the cab had to come off for the repairs to be done...
Only once. All the lines to the hpfp, fuel rail to injectors, the can only be used once. If you try to reuse them they will leak fuel, fill your crank case full of fuel and it will take off on you and blow your engine.
yeah that makes sense, i just have to do it now. i wonder how much of the other stuff i can figure out how to flush and get clean again with out having to replace everything.....oh and i have now a 2nd 6.4 in my shop with the same problem....@!#%@#$@#@#$@#%@
