Blend door on heater in my truck is not working.Going to ford on the 12th of this month.Thank god for warrenty, almost 7 hours to remove dash, and fix this problem.
The blend door? of is it just your vacuum pump has gone out?
If the vacuum pump goes out, Truck will default to ONLY defrost. You can't get it to blow on your face or your feet. Its $100 maybe $200 part and takes 5 minutes to replace.
Also when your vacuum pump goes out, Your auto 4x4 won't work, You will have to get out and manually engage your hubs.
its stuck on vents only.No defroster vent no floor vent.Im not looking forward for the dash to come out.rattle rattle squeek squeek. The tech checked it out and said the mechinisim is stuck causeing the door to not funtion proper.
How old is the truck? Is this a factory defect from a new delivery or did that assembly simply wear out. It would be interesting to take a look at what is behind the dash when they have everything apart.
My truck is a 2011 lariat almost one year old this month. They tested the system and seemed to know what the problem was.all summer i was happy with the dash vents for ac. The other morning it was 0c outside so tried to defrost the ***** frost off window.Thats when i noticed the thing wasnt swithching to the different modes at all. That would not be good if you needed to defrost your window in a month or so lol.Yes i live in canada. Truck has 40500km only.
