blend door broke
Anyone ever try to fix the front blend door on their Aero?? Mine is blowing only through the vents - no defrost or heat, although the air being blown is hot when I slide the temp lever.. Somebody told me the blend door had snapped off. I took the top of the dash off and could not access the door. The actuator is moving so I'm assuming it is the door that has broken off inside. I repaired the rear door - very easy to access. But this is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

Air flow from only one position is a vacuum line problem, not the blend door. Since you can alter the heat with the temperature lever, the blend door is working properly. Usually with vacuum line problems you wind up with DEFROST only as this is the default mode. Since you have only VENT and no others, the problem is likely in the selector switch itself or the vacuum line connections at the switch.
