I have a 2002 F250, I have been having some issues lately, it first started with the horn randomly blasting non stop. the only way i could stop it was to pull the fuse. a few days later i reinstalled the fuse and it worked fine. about a week later i was driving down the road and the factory alarm started going off. I pushed the panic button on the remote and it went off. Now if i use cruise control everytime i touch the brake the doors lock.
I took apart the fuse block to look for signs of water damage, and didnt see any. im not sure what else to do? any ideas??
That part was ok! But he still shakes and jumps into the bed and howls and growls every time he hears sirens! Poor guy had a horrible start to his life! A 142lb yellow lab jumping on your chest as he makes his way under the covers is enough to make me need a priest some nights!
Jim...& still traumatized fat Monty
My daughter actually had written his story as a project for her honors English literature final last year, and was awarded a regional scholarship for young authors based upon the story, she has plans of publishing a full version of the story in the near future! I'll keep you posted you already know the name......

Has it been wet where you live? I've seen a lot on here where water leaks in from the windshield of the truck onto the GEM module underneath your dash. The gem controls pretty much all the lights, power windows, and 4x4 in these trucks. If you get water on them they go haywire. To access your GEM its 2 bolts, and 2 nuts (10mm) to take off your fuse box. From there it'll be the 2 large bolted on connectors on the back.. also 10mm. 2 more connectors on the side that actually connect to the gem. after that pull it all out and 3 screws should be holding the gem to the back of the fuse panel. Pray its not toast because those are almost 400 bucks a pop.
MY fusebox got wet and i guess the gem too. Took em both out. Saw some corrosion on the gem...toothbrushed it with some oil then wiped it with alcohol. Fusebox was worse. Couldnt open it either because of the two studs. Would up cutting the bottom inch off of the plastic housing, soaking it in alcohol, then vacuuming the snot outta it. The layered fuse box was filthy and something was conducting juice and draining battery. After the soaking and vacuuming, all works well. And now my box has a vent and a drain. No more car washes till i get a new windshield.
