First Issue (Transmission)

Just finished idleing through an RV park, not towing, and I'm pulling out onto the country road and the engine revs and the truck moves slowly and stays in first and then stops moving like it's in neutral. Confirmed I'm in drive but no power going to the wheels.
Put the truck into park and then back into drive. It hesitated for a few more seconds and then seemed to find it's mind and started to act normal.

This kind if thing happen to anyone else?

That exact thing happened to mine (build date 10-25-10, 5k miles) last week. Just did it the once and then behaved normally for several days afterwards. Its been at the dealership for the past two days, but I still havent heard what, if anything, that they're finding.

After the several days did it do it again, fail completely, or did you just take it in to get checked out?

This is a huge problem when you consider the first sign is when you are trying to pull out into possible traffic. It could have caused a big accident.

Yup got issues with mine too. Built in Feb 11. Hard shifting out of 1st and 2nd, then 4th to 5th. It skipped pulling horse trailer just got onto the highway and stepped on it a bit. Took it in and Had it re programed and it was better, then it "skipped" again, empty. also the hard shifting came back, as well as the disappearing display for gears. Oh and the mileage got ugly too. Just had it re programed again.... hope it's better now.

This is a glitch that has been around since day 1. Rarely happens and very hard to duplicate at will.

It's happened to me a few times, only unloaded and driving with very light throttle. So for me, it just means that I just am a little more aggressive with the throttle which seems to make it shift with more authority. Ford has been trying to re program the transmission to eliminate this, seems to still be a rare thorn in their side.
