Rough idle, after warm-up variable idle
Good forum --
87, E150, 5L, V8, with Fuel Injection.
Starts fine but very low, and very rough idle. Idle speed
has always seemed slow and I have mentioned it but every
time they say it looks good on the computer.
After it warms up, the lower idle pulses, low to high
and back -- requiring you to hold the brake down to not
lunge forward.
Any ideas? It's also blowing some black smoke that
starts to go away after it warms up.
Thanks --- Van has run great, and in great shape but
have had a lot of fuel problems the last year at about
$400/pop going to the dealer -- going to figure it out
or get rid of the van.
