2wd front spring ?

Is the 2wd excursion v10 gas engine front spring rate the same as the

F250/F350 v10 gas engine? I would think the excursion weighs more

and therefore would have a different spring rate. Where could I find the info on this?

What are your thoughts or info on this

I would say Yes. But thats just me. The X as I understand is built on the F350 platform.

The X is actually built on the F250 platform, I've heard that the 2wd F350 front springs will give you some lift up front, but not too sure...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...upgrade-2.html

The above post gives spring part numbers for 2wd ('03 Ex w/7.3).
If I don't manage to figure out anything better myself,
I will be ordering the same springs (I hope same for an '04/'05 w/6.0)

I am considering looking up F250 2wd trucks for sale on-line and
going and looking @ them to get the door spring codes.
Luckily - most on-line sales list the VIN number, which is what
Ed the partsguy needs to look up the appropriate spring code.

If you upgraded your Ex 2wd springs - POST what springs code/part numbers and the YEAR of your Ex - PLEASE!

BTW:

1. Ex springs are softer/lower than F250/F350
2. F250/F350 use the same front/rear springs (F350 taller rear spacer)
3. The common/recommended upgrade is to use F250/F350 springs on
the Ex to drasticaly improve the handling.

You can get some great details about specs by googling
"fleet 2004 f250 specs" substitute your model year of interest!
Here are the ones I've worn out lately. TONS of details
in case you are stuck in an airport for days....
