I have a 91 f250 7.3 that seems to have the power I need for pulling the wife's camper and daughter's horse trailer (untried as yet). I know a turbo will add power, but is it enough to off set the cost and effort, cost being the biggest factor. I like would like to keep this truck quite a while but will return it to original shape (fix rust, hammer out dent etc.) rather than makeing it into a hotrod. Thanks
If you're happy with the power as it is, don't worry about a turbo. Do something with the exhaust. The idiot that designed that 'Y' pipe should be shot. A cold air inlet system will also help. Check the air cleaner cover. If it has the soup bowl looking thing in there, you could remove it.
