Anyone install one before? I have one im going to put on my truck, but I dunno if I want to use just self tapping screws like they do from the factory. Any other alternatives? I was wondering if maybe something else better. Is there anyway to use small bolts or is the inside a double layer?

Previous owner did mine. Looks like regular screws, maybe the holes were drilled first. I don't know, but it works fine.

I have installed a few and just used sheet metal screws. self tappers will leave metal shavings between the visor and roof and start rust and wont seal well.

I mark measure and pre drill the holes in the roof then apply a dab of silicone on the underside of the visor around each screw hole, you dont need much. then put a little on the threads of the screw and install. never had a leak or a loose screw.

*make sure you measure twice before drilling the holes!

I agree with not using self tapping screws. I'd pre drill the holes and use stainless screws. Personally there is no way I would drill holes in the roof for one of these hideous things.
