New guy on the block with a 77 F150 302 auto in great shape. Bought from 82 year old second owner. Only thing major on vehicle is rusted out header pipe (pipe from both manifolds that crosses behind engine and joins into right side single exhaust). Also called a crossover pipe. Only number I've come up with is a Walker 40370 and nobody can tell me if that is it for sure. Have checked local and on line to no avail. Source/part numbers please. Wanting to keep it stock.
Where are you located? I got a 78 with a 302 and I'm looking to take stock exhaust off to run long tube headers and flowmaster exhaust. Maybe we can work something out if you are close enough. I am in northwest Georgia.
Four different muffler shops today. Not one wants to work on it. They are afraid of the studs on manifold breaking and the studs in block breaking. I was wanting to get it done as I just had major surgery. Guess I'll do it anyway even if it takes me a week. -break- I am in Fayetteville,NC. When would you anticipate taking yours off as I may have to go to the Atlanta area this week. PM or E me with a price.

Reason: Typo
The gods are smiling on me. All four header nuts came off without breaking a stud. Another surprise is that the studs are actually in pretty good shape. PB blasted them then vibrated them with air hammer. Worked like a charm. Now I can get a new header pipe made up.
