Newbie with a SCT ?

Hey guys, been awhile haha! Quick question, I am selling my old X3 to one of my buddies with an 06 6.0. He's never really been happy with mpg loaded or unloaded. He's about out of warranty and wants to try a tune for towing his boat, around 8kish? Certainly not too much for a 6.0. My questions are:
1) Does anybody have the Spartan freebie tunes stashed somewhere? I had them, no idea where they are now. Just want him to try some custom tunes.
2) If #1 is not doable, I never messed with the canned tunes, I assume there might be a canned tow tune and what else? What kind of HP/TQ from the 3?
I want to be able to give him all possible info before we hook this thing to his truck as he is already apprehensive about tuning it. But then again, there was a time I swore I'd never tune mine
Really liking the F150, almost 17k in 1.5 yrs and she treats me good. Ordered an X3 enhanced version for it, getting one from Mike @5Star tuning who seems to be the man from all I've read. Should be here today, unless it floated away somewhere betw. here and SC over the weekend! Thanks in advance for any help and a big to all the 6.0 forum "vets" that remember me haha.

Don't forget that the X3 is "tuned" to your OLD trucks strategy.... if you try to install it on a different truck you will disable his truck.....it will then have to be re-flashed by the dealer. Don't ask how I know this.....

I would call SCT and talk to them about this FIRST!

I returned it to stock before I got rid of it, I shouldn't have any problems should I? It has 4 unlocks left on it afaik.
Oh never mind, I re-read your post and I know what you're saying. Thats why I want the Spartan tunes, I can plug it in and get the strategy then install the appropriate tunes. Gotcha!

Thanks buddy. I still lurk around checking up on you and a few others occasionally. I wanted to give him the tuner since he has helped me alot with cutting down some trees around my property but he insists on giving me something for it. I am sure he will be happier once he sees what even a mild tune will do for the 6.0. He isn't in any hurry to come and get it though, I'm not sure if he's afraid or what, haha. So I just drag and drop right? I will have to play around with it I'm sure it will come back to me. Thanks again!
Edit: Hey I got my tuner/tunes for my truck this afternoon, it made a nice little difference. Nothing like a diesel but better shifting, throttle response and power for sure.

These are essentially custom tunes. Not written specifically for one truck but still better than the canned tunes.
