R694659 / 5000 / 110 / 113.5 3600
serial number / max lbs / wheelbase / cert net h.p at r.p.m

4.27 / 1956 / Y / 1D 704
REACSAMBLE ? (AXLE RATIO) / YEAR / COLOUR / PRODUCTION CODE
Welcome to FTE

The serial number is different than US trucks. The Rating Plate and codes stamped on it, is somewhat similar. But US trucks have a TRANS code, do not have the year stamped on it.

I'll take a stab at it...based on what I know of US trucks.

R = 272 4V H/D Y block engine.

694659 = 1956 Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the trucks specific serial number.

5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

110" Wheelbase.

113.5 net HP @ 3,600 RPM

4.27-1 Rear Axle Ratio.

1956.

Y = ? No Y exterior color code listed for 1956 US trucks (or Passenger Cars).

1D = This is likely the day/month the truck was assembled: April (D) 1, 1956.

704 = Production Code, but what this actually refers to, I don't know.

Production number

Thank you!

Is it possible to find out how many cars with this option are made?

It's highly unlikely, imho. Those records are not even available for US production. Information from South American assembly plants surely would be even more difficult to obtain.
