Ok, well I feel like a complete idiot. If you've seen my other post you know I thought I broke a ring or burnt a piston giving me blow by. Well, I got to thinking because things weren't adding up. I got worried about sludging a few months ago when I had some oil leaking from my fill cap ( found valve cover is slightly bent and gasket was bad). So I put in a little more than the recommended amount of Marvel Mystery Oil.
Any one figure it out yet?
It did what it is supose to do!! My rings must be real clean! Changed the oil tonight as a hope to fix cheaply and its all good! No more crankcase pressure, no more oil leaks. The oil ran like water and the filter was almost clogged. Guess there really is too much of a good thing!
Not a whole lot. Put in the recommended dose a few months ago and put the rest of that bottle in the gas. Forgot about adding it to the oil, so last week knowing I was going to change the oil I added the recommended dose again... so more or less a double dose on one oil change
