starting at the begining, i had my truck at the dealership about 1-2 monthes ago to have a few things fixed along with an oil leak,
they replace the hpop o rings,
well last week the truck is idleing in my drive and i notice a big oil leak.
so i tear it down, install the WW, all new orings, rebuild the ebpv etc
well tonight i am replacing both inner o ring and fitting to hpop orings on the lines. first one goes easy, second one, i pop out the old inner, and hear comes with it another ring, its is the same size but it is white and more brittle. is this the org oring that the dealership obviously forgot to remove, or was it supposed to be there?
ps, the tool you get with a ranger clutch kit is perfect for the hpop lines
I figured while im in here, ill do everything i can.
those are the ones the dealership did, they didnt touch the ones from fitting to hpop.
but the only one the really looked like a plausible leak was the pass side head fitting.
but guzzle doesnt include that in his kit, he said he's never heard of them going bad.
but while i was doing all this i cleaned the living hell out of the valley and painted it red, making it easier to spot any new leaks. so we will see
.

I've heard of them leaking. The head to fitting are a #5 ORB or a -905 o-ring.
i wouldnt know where to find any other than guzzle or a dealer, I'm cheacking around at dealers tommrow. other wie its going back together, if that is the one leaking it can be done without tearing anything else apart
Holy crap. Join date 2003. Tell me some stuff. I was a mere lurker back then, though I did have the 6637 clux loves, the CCV mod, and a 5" exhaust. Gauges were right there too.
I say no need to paint the valley to detect leaks, but you are on it.
well there was 3 inches of oily mulch down there. i figured if it might make my life easier i'm with it, this truck breaks down every month and a half.

I believe you are talking about the inside o-rings as you received 8 of the outside oil rail o-rings in the kit.
The inside oil rail o-rings go bad so rarely that I am not sure if they are the same size as the HPOP inside o-rings or not, I've never had a call for the inside o-ring on the oil rail fittings.
yeah this truck has been hell
alt, wheel bearings brakes within the first 2 weeks of owning it,
gpr, oil leak, rear end and driveshafts
all new steering, clutch, the list goes on i cant even remeber all this stuff
bought it for 17500 in august, probably have half of that in repairs etc already, it makes me sick, so much for my dream truck, my half blown up backup vehicle ford ranger is more reliable..

Oil and fuel rail is in the heads. Sorry you are having such bad luck but you may have been taken for a ride. Looks like someone wanted to earn a living on your ride dude.
