Bronco II project

Does anyone have anything to offer regarding whether the 4 wheel drive will link up if I put a 2.8 liter from an 84 ranger into an 88 Bronco II?

ok, 88 broncoII, 2.9L v6 in it now? if so, the 2.8 should bolt right in. you'll have some work to change from injected to carb'd, and you'll have to use the bronco's tranny.
