Bronco II

Mine is not really lifted ('90 Eddie Bauer) but I have added helper springs in the back to keep it from sagging. I also have wheels,
American Racing on it that have more offset with LT235 tires
that have added about 4 inches to the overall width (2" per side) The lifts I have been looking at are around $375-$500 to get 3" or 4"
suspension lift. I have also heard of a cheap way to have disconnectable sway bars but I haven't had the time to do it yet.
As far as off road goes, I am a Coloradoan temporarily living in Utah and we have had a blast in Moab and some of the canyons around here.
I tried going up a "hill" that is steeper than @$#% a month or so ago
when I lost traction (it felt like I was driving straight up when that happened) I started backing down. By mistake put my drivers side rear wheel into a hole about 4-5 feet deep and at a huge angle sideways. All of a sudden I felt the front passenger wheel pull up and when my buddy riding shotgun opened the door and leaned out to see how far off the ground it was he said about 4 feet.
We got down ok after careful wheel placement then I found out that that same hill defeated my neighbors Jeep Wrangler (2002, 3" lift, 32x12.0 tires) so I didn't feel bad. This got long... the main thing about off-roading is get tires for the area you are at. Out here that is Huge lugs and then aired down to 12#-20# psi for a bigger footprint.
