Sticky rear hatch

Sticky rear hatch
I tried a search with no success. When our X sits for any extended period of time, the rear hatch is VERY HARD to open. I am saying like afraid we will break the handle difficult. I am suspicious that the hatch is sticking to the gasket on the body. Has anyone else experienced this? Is something I can do to prevent this from happening?

I know what you mean. When I test drove the one I wound up buying, I thought the rear hatch window was broken 'cause it wouldn't open. Turns out I just was yanking on it hard enough. I'll defintely try the silicone. Thx!
