What is this?
Can someone please tell me what this is? It's attached to the fuel rail. The round silver thing.

I think that is what it is, too - on some years' trucks they are built right in to the fuel rail.

It's got a red wire with a black boot??

IIt looks like it's built into the rail. If the black boot wasn't seated all the way down, could that cause an intermittent miss? I had an intake manifold gasket leaking coolant on the drivers side. But I still have a miss, but no cel. That was the only thing that didn't look look right after leaving the shop.

LOL, are you sure it's a red wire with a black boot??

How about a vacuum line with a black boot?

And, yes, vacuum lines that are disconnected will cause problems.

Heck I didn't know vacuum lines came in colors. All the ones on my older vehicles seemed to always be black lol. I learn something new every day.

Probably a stupid question, but do the cops on one side only have 1 wire while the cops on the other side have 2 wires??

All your coil on plug should have 2 wires bro...ground and trigger...
