well this is it, im going to need new tires for this winter. I had been planning on getting 235/85r16 but i think i have changed my mind to the 255/85r16 I am under the impression the narrower the tire the better for snow also i'd like some more height than the 235 gives. 255 is a rare size i think i got it narrowed down to ToyoM-55 and the Cooper ST any input on these tires or size is appreciated. also i think ill have to shim my front bumper, can anyone confirm this?>
Do you do alot of towing? The only ones that I have found that hold up good are Firestone Transforce AT's Not saying the Toyos or coppers arent good, I have michelins myself but all the towing I do melted them down fast.
I read a buttload of reviews written by idiots, but I apears that the coppers wear better, as far as mud/snow they seem about the same, both are siped. The narrower tires will be better in snow but I have 31x10.50x15 Goodyear Wrangler Authority, and with the light lil 302 up there I havent had an issue, I never had tires that grip that good in snow as these, If it's slushy I have to downshift because they are gripping that good. I have ran them 2 winters and am very happy with them.

Really? What kind were they? LTX M/S2?
Cause that's what I have on my camper on all 6 wheels, 215/85R16 LTX M/S2's and they have now 15-20k on them, and show 0 wear!
The front ones are abit more worn on the outside and inside do to the camber angle always changing from the front always bouncing up and down on this thing.

I run mine at 80psi front, and 75psi rear.
LTX AT/2 and the rear axle just eats them up, but they are right at load rating and moving 25k.
