stalling when warm
howdy all! i'm having a little trouble w/ my 91 bronco (5.0L, Auto w/OD)...the problem happens after i've been driving her for a while...when i take off from a stop, she starts to bog out like theres no gas getting to the combustion chamber....also getting a loud banging, like someone is hitting the block w/ a hammer...however, once i get ABOVE 2000 rpm, it runs find until i come to a stop and the whole process starts over...
again, it only happens after i've been driving a while...when i start her in the morning, this problems doesn't happen at all...
thanx for your help!

that "hammer hitting the block" sound could be a misfire in one or more of the cylinder chambers or at least I think. if its a constant sound than I don't know what it is. mine makes single "bang" sound when I floor it. I think that I'm gonna change the spark plugs. I already changed the wires, cap, and the ignition coil.

you might give it a tune up. new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and reset the timing. or take it to a shop so they can look at it. you might also check your exhaust manifolds if one is cracked it will somtimes make that sound . and most cracks dont show up till the motor is warm.
