dual exhaust
I'm thinking of doing dual 3 inch exhaust on my 94 xlt but i can't find a way to get it past the gas tank to run it out the back. the tank is so big it covers from frame rail to frame rail. i also thought about running one pipe out in front of each rear tire but it appears that the transfer case would be in the way on the drivers side. any advice, i'd appreciate it.

Do you ever run your back window open while driving..if so, I would strongly advise against duals out the back. The vacuum effect will bring ALL of your exhaust gases in the truck. Even where the stock exit is, it can still sometimes come in. You just doing it for looks? I know it can be done, but normally going to a custom exhaust shop is all it takes. What do you have for a motor? Dual 3"s might flow too well, robbing you of torque.

I had the duals on my 86 run both exhaust pipes,mufflers,and tail pipes on the right side of the truck. Now everything exhaust is out of the way and I can drop the trans,transfer case etc. without cutting any pipes. Also when duals are run the usual way the the pipes fit right above the transfer case which means you can't jack the transmission up to change the mount when needed. Because of restrictions in area I had to use 2.225 diameter pipe and two small Dynomax turbo mufflers. Real sweet chop at idle,throaty when gooseing it, and smooth & quiet at 65 mph.
