First off this is really happening ..2002 f250 v 10 4x4 when I turn the headlights on the ABS warning light comes on , when I press the brake pedal it goes off and some times the speedo meter jumps when I turn on the lights any ideas would be greatly appreaciated thank you .
Checked batt first it was 11 v and the eye was red , got a new batt and had 12.56 v started truck and then had 14.57 v .
I then pulled the switch out in the cab and found that when I had a shell installed they cut into my feed wire to the headlights with a crappy connector (fixed that too) still dont know why the ABS came on but I think Iam on the right track any suggestions or should I just see what happens...??
The ABS probably had a low voltage supply error. The speedo jumping is why I suggested the battery or the alternator. There have been several times people have written in with these new trucks having gauge jumping problems, crazy problems with the cluster, and it's been a voltage supply problem most every time.
