Here is a CC SRW pickup for $800 on CL. It has GP issues that before I inspect could be a problem. The C6 also may have a problem. is it worth my time looking at this this truck? If there were no known issues with it, it would go for $3K in this area easily.
For those who aren't as real-estate oriented as I am, flipping is taking something and fixing it up and selling it at a profit.
Being that it is not my only truck, if I have to dig into some advanced stuff, I have the time to to it since it is not a truck I need all the time. I'm not afraid of rebuilding the tranny on a truck or pulling the heads, I just don't want my main truck to need that kind of work.
I think the biggest problem is me getting attached to the thing and not wanting to get rid of it.
yeah, careful there.you Texas boys like everything jumbo sized.that crew cab would have to be pried from your dead hands.you'd end up selling your current truck and taking a beating.
Yup. For $800...buy it, unless you start it and the engine sounds like it's going to self-destruct. I like bargains though. If I were in your shoes and bought it....I'd probably end up hanging onto it (like you said).
It sounds like a bargin, go for it and flip it. You being in texas, I am making my way through there in October....I could stop in and help if need be.
Well, I left a message to call me back. I would be surprised if this truck lasted more than 2 hours before it sold. We'll see. It is probably worth $800 in scrap but I know too many northerners who would love to have a rust free chassis.
That reminds me that I plan on driving up to MA soon with an unloaded truck. Hm. Just thinking out loud.
