Bed Floor Patch Panels????
I recently picked up a 2000 F150 4x4. The truck itself is very well taken care of with the exception of the bed flooring. It previously had a bedliner in it which has destroyed the floor by the tailgate which I'm assuming is from water leaking in. Basically it is rusted through all the way across the back and about 3-4" towards the front of the bed. I stole the truck for $1800. I don't wanna dump another $1k into it just for some rust in the bed. Does anyone know where to purchase flooring patch panels or do I have to get something custom made from a tin-knocker? My thinking is I'm just going to cut out the bad...weld in a patch....and finish it off with Herculiner. After all, it is work truck and I'll be using it as such.
