E350 tranny coolant line
E350 tranny coolant line
Trying to pull the radiator, 1995 E350.
Of course I spun a tranny coolant line trying to loosen it from the bottom of the radiator. I think I can cut the line and patch a short section in with hose and clamps. Anyone know what size line it is, looks like 1/4inch.?
I think I read someone else had done that but I can't locate the thread.

For future reference, solved.
I unscrewed the fitting from the radiator, cut the coolant tubing with a tube cutter, my local auto part place got me the correct size steel brake line which they bent the 90 deg corner for me and fixed me up with a compression fitting to join it to the original. Simple fix.

That's a great solution----you're lucky to have that sort of parts dealer so close. I've seen many pieces of rubber hose spliced in-line on the trans cooler lines---it works but also subject to loosening---needs to be checked periodically.
Glad you got it worked out!
