Tranny Coolant Line Question

I'm replacing my radiator, and can't get the lower transmission coolant line off the radiator- rusted on. I've kinked the tube a little (not too much) but still can't get the thing off after PB Blaster etc and the nut is starting to strip. Can I just cut the metal line and patch in some rubber hose with hose clamps? I figure I can get the cut stub of the coolant line out of the radiator easier once it's out of the truck. Thanks for any advice.

same here, even used vice grips to wrangle the nut. aux coolers use rubber hose and clamps.

Rubber hose patch is pretty common, but make sure you pay extra for hose rated for transmission fluid: gas and vaccumm line will rot out quickly.

If you search your auto parts online, you can get a line fitting kit. Thats what I did when I replaced my radiator.
