Intake Manifold help!!!!!

Aftemareket aluminum intake manifolds are all over the place and all over the price spectrum.

Is there anywhere where someone can get some "flow" numbers to help decide what is best? is this even the proper way to compare them?

Im not certian what aftemarket intake to go with- I want a dual plane that is optimized from off idle to 5500 Rpm as it will be a daily driver but many choices exist.

Edelbrock performer, performer RPM, Air Gap, etc?
Ive also heard people speak highly of the Weiand Stealth.

Their also seems to be ALOT of off- shore units being sold on ebay that look ALOT like knock-offs of some US manufactures. Anyone tried these and been happy with the outcome?

Thanks for the help in narrowing this down.

I'm not aware of flow numbers anywhere. Sounds like you've decided on a dual plane - If you'll spend most of your time below 5500 RPM I think an Edelbrock performer or a Weiend Action+ would do well for you. The Weiand Stealth intake is a great intake, but in my humble opinion you would only benefit if your RPM range was higher. (Based on a Car Craft dyno and article only! LOL)

The manufacturers have their recommended RPM ranges for their manifolds. Find one that matches your cam and let it rip.

Also, forget knock offs. Even if they were just as good - buy American!

Assuming this is a truck? 302 or 351W?

A Performer RPM is as good as a dual plane gets, or the Stealth. No worries, they work fine down low.

I have the edelbrock duel plane performer air gap. I noticed a nice 'seat of your pants' gain after putting it on.

I use to have the Victor Jr single plane which would come on like gangbusters at higher rpm but it would stumble off of the line.

I like the performer because it gives great perfromance off the line, works like it should and doesn't give away much on top end.

I have the following:
-351w
-tremmic tko 600 tranny
-8.8 rear end with 3:55 gearing and posi track
-MAC shorti headers
-MSD box (soon to be gone in favor of a pertronix system)
-Accel coil
-edelbrock 650 carb

for idle -5500 rpms, you want the edelbrock performer. Thats exactly the rpm band it was designed for. This is the intake im going with when i swap my 351 over to carb
