Just curious if anyone has tried or is using the Edelbrock Victor intake for a Ford Fe. If so is it better than the Edelbrock Performer Rpm?? Looking for something to use for race only??
I have the Victor on my 511 Shelby. It is a race only piece, but I am hoping the 511 will move enough air to make it manageable on the street. For racing there would be no comparison to the Performer RPM. The RPM will run out of breath around 7000, where the Victor will go WAY past that.
Keith Craft told me this bottom end would go 7500 no problem, and I see him running his big bores up to that range, so who knows? Maybe someday I'll adjust the rev limiter and let 'er spin up once just to hear it!
i use to work on 706 rat motors ( i know, i know). we spun them up to 7600-7700 rpms. pretty cool. i used a victor on my windsor. pretty radical motor, big solid cam, aluminum heads, high cornpression.(gets my 64 falcon moving pretty good) probably not the best choice for a street intake though. to each his own guess. thanks for the site.
