I have an opportunity to buy an Edelbrock Streetmaster intake for my 410 build. Are they any good? I will be getting an Elgin E-966-P cam. My RPM range will be from idle to 5,000. Which is better, this Streetmaster or a Performer RPM?
If memory serves, the streetmaster is a single plane intake, which is less desirable for street use. The Performer and Performer RPM are both dual plane, more street freindly.
If the SM is a killer deal, snag it. If you have the chance to get a Performer for the same money, it would be the better option on the street. For drag use, the SM would be a good choice, but since you stated 5000 RPM limit, I'm assuming this is a street build.
