I just changed out my air filter on my 04 F350 KR 4x4 (holly cow it really needed it even though gauge wasn't showing filter needed changing).
I was also going to do the EGR, well wasn't able to get it off so job for tomorrow. I was able to turn the EGR a little before I decided to scratch it for today, since working in the hot sun dosn't help. So I turned it back to it regualar position and tightend the two bolts and connected the electrical plugs I had disconnected. Is it safe to say it will still work even though I didn't clean it and turned it a little? Hopefully tomorrow I can get the EGR off tomorrow and clean it, I do have the new gaskets to put on.
Well finally got the EGR out, had a little build up but not much, clean it with carb cleaner (all while using a shop light) since this was around 1:00AM EST, didn't get all the little build up off, looked were the EGR goes and there all around the walls there was build up, at the bottom there was a little, wasn't able to clean out (for now). When I started the truck, it hesiteaded at first then leveled out around 650 rpm idle, since it was a few hours later when I left, can't tell if big amount of black smoke just yet.
