I bought my X used, and it has neither jack nor jack handle... Makes me a bit nervous driving around with a spare and no jack...
Anyone know of a good replacement jack? Will any auto parts store-bought jack do the trick, or do I need one tailored specifically to the X (for some funky jack-up spot placement or something)?
I was only partially better than you when I bought my new to me 2005 Ex.
It had the bottle jack, but no tools.
Check on ebay, there is pretty regularly somebody selling the jack & tools.
I waited and waited and finally found JUST the tools for like $60.

Edit: I also have AAA and I don't expect to actually try LIFTING my Ex with the bottle jack!
But sometimes I'm in an area w/o cell phone coverage (dang technology)
I've had to change a tire once with the X and was using the one that came with the truck. What a piece of crap, with out going into all the details I purchased a floor jack from Auto Zone and keep the whole thing behind the second row of seats. It's also handy to help out someone who has a flat since you can just slide it under and change a tire in half the time and in a much safe way.
