Note: After washing it, drive the truck and get the engine good and hot. This is good advice for any gas/diesel engine that you have pressure washed - it will dry out the various electrical connectors that got wet.

I did just that and it got worse.... I think it was just a cheap Napa belt. I have a good Gates belt now, maybe I'll give here a cleaning.

Well Rick, make sure you use jack stands. You've seen the movie "Ferris Bueller's day off" haven't you?

the best way I know of to get a pretty engine is to show up at Ricks place with some "little" beers and open the hood. It may take a few beers but sooner or later he won't be able to stand it and out comes the Simple Green and the pressure washer!! then the tire shine and the polishing rags, goodness!
Thanks Rick, it never looked so good

I take the tires off so it turns faster and I put the emergency brakes on to keep the truck from running away if it fall of the jack.

Hey Barney. You and your better half needs to make it down here again, soon. I will give the engine another going over. I did use the water hose and not a pressure washer. . Dem little beers are the perfect size while working on the truck. You can take shorter breaks and more of them. lol

Degreaser and a garden hose. wash, rinse, repeat...

Then I spray everything with Tire shine and shut the hood.

When i first got my truck.. Degunk from autozone, 2 cans.. Many applications of simple green. Multiple days, of cleaning hours with simple green in a spray bottle and a rag. Plus 3 cases of beer for me.

My Baby has never seen salt. But gets lots of soap hours !.

I thought we had this conversation, I though i took Rick's Trophy ?
