Recent Trip Data....
I took a trip to Florida from NY recently and I finally had a chance to sit down and compile the data I got to compare the computer calculated MPG vs my own calculation. The computer results were fairly accurate and in line with what I calculated considering there are errors inherent in both:
NY to Fl:
Computer: 19.4 MPG
Manual: 18.35 MPG
From FL to NY:
Computer: 20.02 MPG
Manual: 19.04 MPG
Truck: 2011 F250, 6.7L PSD,CC, 4x4, FX4, 3.51 ELD, 275/70R18 tires.
Load: 4 people plus luggage. Nothing in tow.
Speed: 65 to 75 MPH
NY to Fl:
Computer: 19.4 MPG
