@ david moore, which part of houston? i'm in houston too. on the west side heading towards katy. do u know the mechanic that u brought ur truck too?

i know lotsa mechanics in this area, and i can tell u if they're straight wif u or not. no offense to ur mechanic.

also, if u need original ford or motorcraft parts, let me know. i got a 25% discount and i believe i can help u out there. i dont charge anything. no catch. jus a fellow diesel owner trying to help out another. i usually shop wif mac hail ford. i also got a buddy at mac haik chevy too. it helps. lol.

jus need part numbers and we can meet and i'll take u to get ur parts, and ur in charge of the bill.....or i'm sure we can arrange something.

call me or email me or pm me. we should talk. have a great weekend!

i'm sure u miss ur truck. i would too if it was gone so long. i'm sure she'd be sad tat she's away from me tis long, and tat i can't be all over her.

nah, my wife dun miss me. she knows i can take care of myself. its my truck tat misses me. lmao.

best of luck. i'll talk to u soon, dave.

harness

ok guys heres the question which harness ,5c3z-12b637-aa or 5c3z-12b637-ba ,went to the local ford dealership and found out production date was 11/13/04 and at that date ( 11/04 ) they changed from aa to ab per ford . H ow can i tell the difference ,no tag on harness and its out of the truck now.

tight is right,i can barely see it ,i took the ground lug loose ,it made a little more room but i still cant reach it from the front and theres no way to get to it from the back of the engine cross-member,there has to be a trick to it

A 10mm and 13mm swivel head GearWrench will be your best friend for this part of the job. There just isn't an easy way around it. You'll need to unbolt the A/C compressor from the block to gain proper access to it. Given that there are two parts of the harness that clip to the block, one of which is directly behind the compressor, I refuse to install this in any other way, other than the way it came off.
