Well, no luck on that one. Even out of desperation I disconnected the batteries to see if I could clear out some hidden code. Nada. Truck still has park but no forward or reverse gears.
Disconnecting the batteries to fix this is just as effective as rotating the air between the tires. See my post quoted below:
