There is no injection pump per say, you need to read this 6.0L Bible Table of Contents
and this https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...rnational.html

COULD the oil in the exhaust really be coolant mixing w/ soot (it can look like oil, but does not feel like oil at close inspection)?

sometimes right cost moeny. hacked and parts tossing cost more...

I have run accross a few 03/04 with a volume supply issue from the pump. look for elavated ipr at hot idle.
could be an injector sticking as well.
both will give you white smoke.

depends on the pump and the truck. but normall a hung injector will smoke white all the time. a low output pump may or may not cause smoke but can in theory cause idle issues.

It has to be a low output pump than cause It doesn't smoke. Any tips on how to check that? The pump seems to humm a lot and I can't remember it doing it like this before but then again I may just paranoid.
