HPOP reservoir

Have you ever had the res. off or the hpop off? It is rare for one of these to just start losing oil. The first thing I would do to trouble shoot this is let it sit and drain till it won't drain anymore, the will help establish a starting point for looking at possible suspects. For instance it stops at the level where there us a gasket, or where one of the hpoil lines arches over. Then remove the res to see if your culprit is in the res. If not it may be an injector bleeding down. Another easy step is to remove the vc's while it bleeds down and stuff paper towels under the weep holes and oil discharge spouts to see if an injector is bleeding down. Hope this helps!

When you've got time, let it drain down as far as it wants to and see where it stops. That will tell you where to start looking (the leak will be right at or just above the level where the oil stops draining).
No signs of coolant in the oil is there? Maybe a cracked stand pipe in the reservoir? Will it start on it's own when it drains down, or do you have to add oil to the reservoir to get it to start?

No coolant in the oil.....It will start after about 45-60 secs of cranking. I did fill it up and it took about 15 secs to start. So it was a little quicker. It drains about 2 inches or so.
