I too am having the timing chain clank goin on on drivers side of 03 exploder!!! Which im about ready to drive thru the dealership and leaving this nice gift for them!! I just spent 1800.00 in parts on repairing the timing chain, guides, tensioners, gaskets, belts, you name it after rear timing chain broke back in Mar. When it broke, it cracked my valve cover and left thousands of pcs of metal all in the motor, pan, and left me stranded to say the least. Now just 1 month in and I have the sound we all know and hate to hear THE TIMING CHAIN CLANK!!! Well it just goes to show that we are not getting any justice from Ford and their warranties of repair that most say will return in approx 30,000 mi. I think we should all send a petition to the higher ups at Ford Motor Co. and demand that something be done to fix their poor design of cheap a** plastic on our cars that we all depend on so much, not to mention the gas prices we as US citizens have to pay to put into these expensive cars that are so cheaply made!! What gives them the right to keep quiet about this manufacturing or design defect and cost us all thousands to repair their **** ups Well now my imploder wont even crank or run and Im totally spent with no solution seems to be! We need some timing specs or input on what to do to help repair so I can have a plastic form of transportation. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
