Leaf Springs
F250 Light Duty: One of the leaf springs on my truck rusted through at the shackle (the rear of the spring) and needs replacing. Would one out of an F150 fit? Also, how unsafe is it to drive with the leaf spring detached like that (I realize it's not cool to drive but I need to move the truck from workyard to garage, about ten miles). Can I proceed without terrible things happening?

Spring replacemet must be at the OEM rated spring load rateing or the truck will be lopsided with any reasonable load in the box.
As long as the frame/wheel etc is not an interference and cause damage, you could move the truck at slow speeds.
Avoid holes and very rough surfaces at speed.
