my 04 6.0 just plane shuts itself off. Today it shut off at 50 mph and restarted immediatly then stalled again at the next stop . It cranked alot and wouldnt start ,30 second break and started right up. Its done this before at slow speeds and has left no codes. Any ideas???

 

What are you using to read codes?

There is a no-start thread in the Tech Folder that shows common points for wire chaffing.

Do you have an early or late model 2004 (ie where is the ICP sensor)?

 

Its a verry early 04 and I dont know what was used for code reading, it was done by a verry good shop I use all the time. We probibly will scan again for this is the first shut off at speed, fist time twice in a day and first resistance to starting. The only code we had was some turbo code and it was checked and conclusion was nothing to do with the problem. Looking for an easy fix, trck has 144000 on it and a new one is do in afew weeks

Could be ICP or IPR, IPR would be my guess, I had the same symptoms, IPR fixed it..
