Tranny freakin out
At work yesterday tranny started shifting funny. sometimes it would grab sometimes not. I started the trip home trans temp hit 275 
so I shut sown let it cool off. Pulled off in 3rd and crused home without too many more problems. Dealership says it's electronic in nature but the overheating has me concerned. I'm still wating on a call for more info. Glad i bought the ext warranty, if it's out it will more than pay for itself.

Tranny freakin out
I had the same problem on my Bounder motorhome. Took it to a Ford dealership, and they did a transmission flush, and also found that the speed sensor needed replaced as well. Went camping last weekend, and it did it again. Took it back to the dealership, and they replaced the wiring loom to the tranny, (they said the tranny was trying to find another gear and could not find it). They also found that the alternator was not working as it should, and it "fried" the battery. They put in a new alternator and a new battery, and replaced the cables and connectors. After spending over $2400.00, it is working fine now. So if it is an electrical problem as you stated, this might help you in finding a starting point.

Nope it's all stock I have the edge cts gauge pod. I never noticed any slipping while driving just kinda hunting for gears.

Don't do that! Shutting it off when it's that hot will often cook the trans and kill it. Let the engine idle in park or neutral to cool the trans.

Looks like their pulling the tranny going to look inside and go from there. SM said there was multiple codes and they had a hard time getting her into the shop.

I hope. I bought the ext warranty after reading this site just to be safe. looks like it's going to pay off.
