That sounds like good advise Snuffthepunkz, I really think what I'm looking for is probably only an inch over stock I believe its probably lowered itself a couple of inches with age. The truck drives great and I'm not looking at any serious off roading or major changes to the suspension. I was looking earlier at some airbags used as helper springs made by Firestone. Easy bolt in and removal without alot of expense and labor. I should probably post a picture so people could see how steep the rear is compared to the front its like 6" higher in the rear Ive also considered lowering the rear

If all you all you are looking to do is bring it back to it's original height take your leafs out and go to a suspension shop, so long as they still have life left in them, they can just bend them back to their original shape for a fraction of the price of a new set, or a lift. Or just add a leaf if they are pretty far gone.

Sounds like your stock front springs have sagged over the years. Any spring shop can rebuild yours to be more arch, or back to stock arch. They can also increase the spring rate if you want a bit more load capacity without sagging. The IDI engine is heavy.

Make sure someone has not modified or put a small lift block on the rear springs. You should not have 6 inches diofference between front to rear, even with sagging front springs.

A totally different way to get more clearance for larger tires is a body lift. Couple inches could get you the clearance you want and not have to deal with the TTB alignment issues when lifted.

thats a nice looking truck.you don't want to remove the rear blocks,or she'll sink out of sight when you go to load up.is it just a play toy,or a functional working truck to you?
they're setup like this so when you load them, your front end doesn't float all over the road and have the rear bumper sitting on the ground.
some guys like to make 'em sit level for looks, but that's best left to toys.
iv got mine sitting "fairly" level (mainly because the dump bed is much heavier than stock beds) but iv got so many springs she stays put when loaded nice now.
lifting the front to match doesn't come without it's cons either.the under side of the truck is horrible for aero.so when you lift a truck, your allowing more air under there hurting fuel economy even more than stock.not the best of ideas with insane fuel prices.being able to drive 'em sure is nicer than just being able to look at 'em.
